Add a Cash on Delivery fee to Shopify checkout

ACOD charges an extra fee for COD orders and hides or shows Cash on Delivery by pin code, state, country, order total, products, or customer tags — so you cover courier costs, nudge customers to prepay, and cut RTO losses.

Everything COD, nothing you don't need

Charge a COD fee at checkout

Add a fixed Cash on Delivery fee through a dedicated COD shipping rate — different amounts per zone, per shipping method, or per pay-on-delivery option.

Hide COD by pin code, state, or country

Show or hide Cash on Delivery by exact zip/pin codes, prefixes, cities, states, or whole countries — the control Shopify doesn't have natively.

Limit COD by order value and cart

Minimum and maximum order totals, cart quantity, order weight, specific products, collections, SKUs, or product tags.

Target customers by tag

Block COD for customers you've tagged as risky, or offer it only to trusted, tagged customers.

Link COD to shipping methods

COD payment and COD shipping only ever appear together. Customers can't pick COD with the wrong courier — or a courier without paying the COD fee.

Native Shopify Functions

Built entirely on Shopify's checkout customization system. Works on every plan from Basic to Plus, with no theme code and no checkout scripts.

How the COD fee works

The fee is applied through a dedicated COD shipping rate that ACOD links to your Cash on Delivery payment method — native to Shopify, clean on invoices, correct with taxes and refunds.

  1. 1

    Create a COD rate

Add a shipping rate in Shopify whose price is your COD fee — per zone, so fees can differ by region.

  2. 2

    Link it in ACOD

ACOD connects that rate to the Cash on Delivery payment method. They only ever show together.

  3. 3

    Add your rules

Limit COD by pin code, country, order value, products, or customer tags. Test safely with testing mode.

What ACOD deliberately doesn't do

ACOD does one job well: COD fees and COD availability rules. It has no OTP verification, no partial payment collection, no order forms, and no fraud scoring. If you need those, use an app built for them alongside ACOD — we'd rather tell you that than sell you a checkbox.
